Hi, I am Katie Murray. I'm a photographer.  I'm a mom.  I'm a little sentimental.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree  from MSU. I learned photography on film and sometimes miss the magic of the dark room. I have been a professional photographer for the past 16 years, but have always been obsessed with photographs.  My most vivid memories from childhood were the ones I recalled from seeing photographs.  Photographs are a great little way to hold onto or bookmark a time in our lives. Having kids now, I see the different phases pass so fast. I love to have beautiful images that capture how they are right now...

   I love taking photos and capturing someone in just the right light...figuratively and literally.  I think everyone should have, at the very least, one photograph of themselves that makes them feel awesome when they look at it... that they'll look at and see the best of themselves. I work to capture personality, while lighting and directing in a way that is most flattering to each individual. I think a picture can affect the way we see ourselves, good or bad.
